Health and Safety Health and Safety HandS NEBOSH IOSH Construction Civil Engineering Birmingham Your new company You will be working for one of the UK''s leading building and Civil Engineering contractors that have been operating for over 170 years specialising in Construction and Civil Engineering.Your new role Reporting to the Head of Health and Safety, the Project Health and Safety Advisor will be an integral part of the Project Management team, providing support and guidance toensure the health, safety and welfare of all those involved in the project. This will be achieved by becoming embedded within the team to eliminate risks during the planning of works and engaging with the supply chain at all levels to ensure the highest standards of health and safety compliance are achieved.Duties will include:-Continual promotion of our health and safety ethos and culture at all levels in the Company and with subcontractors;Ensure working practices are safe and comply with legislation;Review Subcontractor documentation including safe systems of work;Help prepare HandS strategies and the development of internal policies;Lead and deliver HandS initiatives to help raise awareness of risks and hazards;Assisting in the in-house training of managers and employees;Carry out regular site inspections to ensure policies and procedures are being fully implemented;Upon request, carry out accident / incident investigations.What you''ll need to succeed Professional Health and Safety ..... full job details .....
