Our client, a prominent entity in the aviation sector, is currently looking for a Group Technical Senior Finance Manager to join its team on a contract basis in Luton, Bedfordshire.Job Purpose:This role will involve covering technical senior management duties, including responsibility for subsidiary reporting with oversight and management of two direct reports. The position also provides broader support to the Group Chief Accountant on non-financial reporting, half-year results, and transitioning to a new external audit partner.Key Responsibilities:Be the first point of contact for accounting technical questions from across the businessPrepare and present papers on technical accounting matters to senior managementActive involvement in new projects/business changes to ensure that accounting implications are fully understoodOversee the monthly and statutory reporting for various entitiesAssist in the preparation of technical areas of the half year reviewProduce and maintain the group accounting manual, drafting complex areasSupport the set-up of frameworks and processes to facilitate CSRD and IFRS S1 and S2 reportingOther Group reporting activities as directedJob Requirements:Hold a recognised accountancy qualification, likely ACA/CA or an equivalent non-UK qualificationRecent deep technical experience (IFRS), with IFRS 16 knowledge advantageousExposure to non-financial reporting, IFRS statutory reporting, and working with external reporting bodies, including auditBalancing ..... full job details .....
