Ideally, the school are looking for someone with a strong academic background and a 2:1 or above. Some experience working with children is require for this position whether it be in a similar role or in a different setting. The teaching assistant will hold responsibilities of general classroom support, involving helping the class teacher with preparation of lessons as well as delivery and helping children with their learning. The main focus will be numeracy and literacy; however extra-curricular activities will also be a part of the role. The teaching assistant will be working with small groups and also 1:1 with the children for example to help them with their reading.
