This Peer Support Co-ordinator post could be for you. Working across East London as part of Positive East''s Health and Wellbeing Team, you would be contributing towards the charity''s strategic mission of improving the quality of life of people living with HIV, alongside the Team''s existing Peer Support Co-ordinators, our Counselling Co-ordinator and our Clinical Psychologist. This post will have a particular focus on supporting those diagnosed in Emergency Department settings, and those who have disengaged (or are at risk of disengaging) with their HIV care. The post will be a key point of contact with staff in clinical settings. The post will principally provide peer support at Barking Hospital''s Out Patients East HIV clinic currently running on Wednesday afternoons and evenings. As a member of our Health and Wellbeing Team, you''ll be helping improve and maintain the health and wellbeing of people living with HIV through a range of tasks shared across the team, such as assessment of need, one-to-one support and casework, as well as our peer support groups, events and activities.
