Fleet Services Vehicle Technician Location: Ferndown, Dorset Salary: Scale E - Starts at £29,109 rising by yearly increments to a maximum of £33,264 per annum Type of employment: Permanent Type of working arrangement: Static-Worker - A Static-Worker has little or no opportunity to work remotely as they need to carry out their work at a specific force premises, this could be for a number of reasons including the location of equipment. Hours per week: this role is 37 hours per week. Fleet Services are responsible for procuring, converting, servicing, repairing, and disposing of all Force vehicles across Dorset, Devon and Cornwall. Their aim is to provide a safe and efficient vehicle Fleet to meet the demands of operational policing. They have 6 sites across the counties, including 2 in Dorset, and 1,700 vehicles. Their workshops are open Monday to Friday so there is no requirement to work weekends although overtime is offered on occasion and paid at an enhanced rate which is optional.
