We are recruiting for a SEN Teaching Assistant role for a school in Wimbledon set for an immediate start full time 5 days a week. Join an inclusive school in Wimbledon, supporting students aged 3-19 with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD), and complex care needs.About the Role: As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will: Support students 1:1 or in small groups, helping them access lessons and activities.Assist with personalized learning plans alongside teachers and support staff.Provide personal care (e.g., feeding, toileting, mobility support) with training and guidance.Use communication tools like Makaton, PECS, or AAC to support engagement.Help manage behavior using positive reinforcement strategies.Monitor and celebrate student progress, adapting support as needed. Requirements: Experience with SEN students (ASD, PMLD, or complex needs) is desirable but not essential training provided.Caring, patient, and empathetic attitude.Willingness to assist with personal care (training provided).Familiarity with Makaton, PECS, or AAC is a bonus.Strong communication and teamwork skills.Flexible and positive approach to meet the needs of students.
