We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join our team. Knowledge of mechanical maintenance. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining (servicing), repairing, and adding safeguards including DC injection brakes, emergency stop buttons, etc to wood and engineering machinery. The machines are in our clients workshop, based around the UK, in Education, NHS, Prison, and Private industry workshops. The majority of the work we undertake does not require an overnight stay, however, there are occasions when an overnight stay is required (full expenses on account). This role requires a strong understanding of electrical principles, as well as proficiency in using various power and hand tools. Knowledge and experience of wood and engineering machines are desirable. Must be apprentice trained to level 3 and 18th Edition qualified. Working hours are Monday - Friday Days. No weekend work. Responsibilities Conduct annual machinery service on wood and engineering machinery Testing and inspecting safety critical parts, interlocks, protection devices, controls Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults in machinery and equipment. Install, emergency stop, interlocks, DC braking, on/off contactors etc Utilise power tools and hand tools effectively to carry out maintenance tasks. Collaborate with other maintenance staff to ensure timely completion of projects. Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols while performing electrical work.
