Job Description Job Title: Health and Safety Practitioner Location: Rotherham Contract Type: 3 months Temporary Working Hours: 09:00-17:30 Pay rate: 21.52 PAYE / 26.92 UMBRELLA Role Summary The Health and Safety Practitioner will provide expert guidance and support to ensure compliance with legislation, standards, and best practices in Health and Safety. By driving a positive safety culture across the organization, the post holder will ensure that systems, policies, training, and risk management strategies are in place to protect stakeholders, foster competence, and enhance service delivery. Key Responsibilities Advice and Guidance: -Deliver professional and competent advice on Health and Safety matters to internal and external stakeholders. -Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and training aligned with national legislation and best practices. -Incident Management and Compliance: -Establish and maintain processes for reporting and investigating accidents/incidents. -Support the implementation of control measures to mitigate risks. Risk Management: -Identify occupational risks and activities requiring assessments in collaboration with senior officers. -Conduct proactive audits and inspections, ensuring adherence to compliance standards. Contractor Competence: -Develop systems to ensure contractors'' competencies are routinely assessed and monitored.
